Welcome!
Creating a website for Walter Livestock and starting a blog has been on my “to-do” list for over 10 years now, so I guess it’s finally time to take action! I want to publicly thank my long time friend, Stephanie Wittry, for her help in getting all of this set up. I think I can honestly say it would not have happened without you! My plan is to share potentially useful tips as I work on my mares throughout the breeding season. I have been passionate about caring for and managing broodmares for over 20 years. Over that time, I have acquired knowledge from so many fantastic mentors and hope to continue to learn from every opportunity that I can. I know there are other people like me out there that dream of raising your own foal, but maybe aren’t in a position to do that yet, so my goal is to share portions of my story in hopes that it is educational and enjoyable for those interested in equine reproduction.
There is just never enough time in the day unfortunately, so this is all I have time for today. Please keep an eye on this blog, and our social media pages (Facebook and YouTube for now) for updates as we kick off the 2025 breeding season!
